GHAR LAPSI (Ascension Grotto) is another well known cove in the south of the island. The glittering sea, facing two big caves in the rock face, make this spot the favourite meeting place of people from the neighbouring rural villages and also of other visitors who like sunshine and a rocky environment. Ghar Lapsi is the haunt of amateur fishermen. Their boats can always be seen afloat or ashore on the primitive quay. Deep-sea divers also frequent these waters for their sport.
